Catherine Deneuve voiced the book by Ukrainian poet Lyubov Yakimchuk

Since the beginning of Russia’s massive invasion, celebrities have been supporting the people of Ukraine.

French actress Catherine Deneuve voiced the book of Ukrainian poet Lyubov Yakimchuk Donbass apricots. The writer wrote this on his Facebook page.

“We can tell you. Voice of Catherine Deneuve Donbass apricots, and our audiobook is now in bookstores in France, as well as on all French audio platforms. You can hear my voice there, because I read the titles and five or six other poems for the book, in Ukrainian,” she wrote.

It is known that a French translation of the book was published by the publishing house Les éditions des femmes, founded by feminist Antoinette Fouquet in the 1970s.

Lyubov Yakimchuk also noted that Catherine Deneuve has a circle of readers, and they never miss a book they read, so it worked.

It should be noted that poems are included in the collection Donbass apricots, Lyubov Yakimchuk wrote in 2014, after Russia annexed part of eastern Ukraine. The collection was published in Ukrainian in Old Lev Publishing House in 2015.

Earlier it was reported that Catherine Deneuve read a poem by the famous Ukrainian writer Lesya Ukrainka.
