The process is based on GPS coordinates to place the seedlings as outlined in the artist’s initial sketch. Plants change color as they grow.

In Thailand, farmer Tanyapongu Kaikhamu painted cats in his rice fields. This is how he tries to attract tourists. Reuters writes about it.

To carry out such work, Kaikham from Chiang Rai province needed the help of two hundred workers.

He expects thousands of tourists to come to his farms.

The different colors in the paintings are achieved by planting rice seedlings with different colored buds.

The aerial photo shows a sleeping cat holding a fish in its paws, illustrating a Thai proverb about prosperity.
