Curie bought the 250-seat, horseshoe-shaped space to fix it up and give it back to the city.
The creative director of the women’s collections of the Dior fashion house, Maria Grazia Chiuri, is working on an unusual project that is not related to fashion. He began the restoration of the historic Teatro Della Cometa theater, located in his hometown of Rome. WWD reported it.
According to the publication, the theater closed during the coronavirus pandemic, and after that it never returned to its previous work.
“I want to renovate this little theater because it is an important part of Rome. I hope to have it finished next year. It has a wonderful history and also has a connection to New York,” she said.
The couturier also complained that in a city rich in historical sights, performance areas can be overlooked by tourists as well as local residents.
“I didn’t expect it (the renovation) to be so intensive. Because renovating a theater is very difficult, especially in Rome, because we have very strict restrictions for all buildings. The complexity is incredible, but there is no need to be not happy,” added Chiuri.
We remind you that Dior will not sign a contract with Meghan Markle.
