Many residents of western Ukraine “want their territories to return to Poland, Romania or Hungary,” believes Vladimir Putin.
Apparently there are “territorial disputes” in western Ukraine. Russia will not interfere in their decision, but “it will not surrender itself.” Russian President Vladimir Putin said this at an extended meeting of the board of the Ministry of Defense in Moscow on Tuesday, December 19.
According to the head of the Kremlin regime, many residents of western Ukraine “want their territories to return to Poland, Romania or Hungary.”
“Those people who live there – many, in any case, I know this for sure 100% – they want to return to their historical homeland. And the countries that lost these territories, especially Poland, are dreaming and dreaming to return them In this sense, only Russia can be the guarantor of the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Putin said cynically.
“They don’t want? There’s no need. History will put everything in its place. We won’t interfere, but we won’t give up what we have,” he assured.
The Kremlin owner added that during the Soviet era, “the largest territories in the history of Russia with the population were transferred to Ukraine, and huge resources were invested there.”
Earlier on Tuesday, Vladimir Putin made a cynical statement that in 2014, the war in Ukraine was apparently started by the United States, and not Russia, which annexed Ukrainian Crimea and started a hybrid war in Donbass .
