Pajubá will arrive with everything to show the experiences of trans people spread across the five regions of Brazil.
The documentary, which is directed by Gautier Leeseeks to bring the story of the protagonists’ reality and their day-to-day experiences.
The project, written by Hela Santanafeatured 28 testimonies from transmasculine, transfeminine and transvestite people to show the plurality of the community and their private experiences.
Pajubá, an expression adopted by the LGBTQIAPN+ community, seeks diversity throughout the process: it is written by a trans author and directed by a non-binary person. Furthermore, the majority of the team is made up of trans and/or black people.
The documentary featured filming in Porto Alegre (RS), Salvador (BA), Brasília (DF) and São Paulo (SP).
The project is the first feature film in the director and author’s career; and the premiere is scheduled for 2024.
