“A woman who represents a lot for funk”

The singer Lindenone of the music world’s rising voices, has teamed up with Valesca Popozuda to release the single “Aulinha de Quicada”. The track, which represents a transmission of knowledge and experience between two generations, also represents the power of female unity in the music scene, especially in funk.

Tília revealed that she always wanted to form a musical partnership with Valesca, who is one of her biggest artistic references. “She is a woman who represents a lot for me and for funk. The album is about funk, so there was no way not to have a feature with it. I was very happy when she agreed to do it because it was something I already wanted”, said the singer.

According to the artist, the experience of being able to work alongside Valesca was very special. “Valesca is a very incredible human being, she is very funny, entertaining. I’m calm on set when it’s a feat. The set was calmer with her, the vocal recording for the song was also great, I’m very happy”, he said.

Valesca, who is a pioneer in the funk scene, also highlighted the importance of strengthening the female presence in the music industry. She highlights the need for mutual support between artists. “Just like Tília, in the scenario we have today in funk, there are several other girls growing up, seeking more and more, each one has their place and each one has their light.
