Fernando Campos debuted on screen with his special appearance in the documentary ‘Transo’
On the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, December 3rd, the PCD artist and advocate for breaking stigmas, Fernando Campos, debuted on screen with his special appearance in the documentary Sexcreated by director and documentary filmmaker Lucca Messer.
Celebrating diversity and affirming the importance of addressing the sexual lives of people with disabilities, “Transo” is a Futura production that challenges taboos and breaks paradigms by openly exploring the intimacy of 12 participants. With courageous testimonies about masturbation, erotic toys, preferences and pleasure, the documentary highlights that sexual life is a reality for many people with disabilities.
Fernando, one of the characters, is a digital influencer and stands out on the internet by using his social networks to bring awareness to the cause of people with disabilities and combat ableism. Diagnosed with bilateral retinoblastoma at the age of two, he faced personal challenges that pushed him to raise his voice in favor of
inclusion and accessibility.
In the work, he shared his personal story, contributing to the documentary’s central objective of demystifying prejudices and promoting the normalization of the debate about sexuality among people with disabilities.
“On social media, I bring light and try to demystify prejudices and stereotypes about people with disabilities, and the documentary Transo has the role of entertaining, as they are incredible stories that the public will learn about, as well as bringing light to this topic that It’s so taboo,” said Fernando.
‘Transo’ has the mission of breaking down layers of invisibility and exclusion in society, providing an authentic and inclusive vision of PWD’s sexuality. In addition to giving a voice to a significant part of society that is often silenced.
