Bruno Fagundes participated in the podcast Face to face and revealed that he had a drug problem when trying to hide his homosexuality from his family.
During the chat, the actor said that he felt pressured by the artistic world for not revealing his sexual orientation and recalled that he tried to follow heteronormativity during his adolescence.
“My entire life, due to the context of being the son of a famous person, I was under a lot of pressure from all the celebrity agents, from all the cogs that are part of this system, to hide it, to change my way of being, existing, living. and show me”, said.
“I lived at a time in my life, when I was 19 years old, when I tried at all costs to be straight. I was so pressured and scared that I was going to fail… because people were telling me this: ‘You’re going to fail being gay.’” remembered.
“It was very violent towards me, it was the darkest time of my life. There was a time when I was immersed in drugs at a deadly level, a very heavy level”, he said.
“I don’t even know if my parents know about this. It was going against my nature, against who I was. I was pressured to show something that wasn’t natural and comfortable for me,” scored.
