Autotransformers will work on the Ukrainian grid and increase the reliability of energy supply to consumers in winter.
The United States has transferred two powerful autotransformers to Ukraine, which will strengthen the energy infrastructure. The press service of Ukrenergo reported this on Friday, December 1.
The new autotransformers will work on the Ukrainian grid and increase the reliability of energy supply to consumers in the winter.
“We thank the US government, the US Embassy in Ukraine and USAID ESP for their assistance in procuring and delivering key equipment required for Ukraine’s energy infrastructure during the high winter load,” the company said.
Switching transformers commented US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink.
“As Russia launches missiles and drones into Ukraine’s power grid, the United States is helping to keep it intact. Together with Ukrenergo, we delivered two autotransformers this week to support the Ukrainians this winter,” wrote Ambassador H. on social media.
It was previously reported that the United States is allocating $25 million for Ukraine’s energy sector. The funds are used to purchase equipment needed to rebuild energy companies.
We remind you that last week there was a deficit in the Ukrainian energy system for two consecutive days. We had to attract emergency aid from EU countries.
