On Wednesday, November 29, a Moscow court arrested Ukrainian singer Jamala in absentia on the charge of “military fakes.” This was reported by RosSMI in connection with the Moscow prosecutor’s office.
They said that on April 4, 2022, the performer, while outside the territory of the Russian Federation, allegedly motivated by hatred of Russian army personnel, published a post on his public page in social networks that contains “intentionally false information about the actions of the Russian armed forces during a special military operation.”
The prosecutor’s office also added that Jamal was accused under paragraph “d” of Part 2 of Art. 207.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (public dissemination, under the guise of reliable messages, of deliberately false information containing data on the use of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, made on the grounds of national hatred).
Earlier it was reported that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs placed the Ukrainian singer of Crimean Tatar origin Jamala on the wanted list.
