Italian designer Davide Renne, who officially became the new creative director of Moschino on November 1, has died at the age of 46. The fashion house announced his death on its Instagram page.
According to preliminary information, the cause of death was a heart attack.
“There are no words to describe the pain we are experiencing at this dramatic time. Davide joined us only a few days ago when a sudden illness took him from us too soon. We still cannot believe what happened. Together Davide and I worked on the ambitious project, in an atmosphere of enthusiasm and optimism for the future. Davide, although he stayed with us for only a short time, immediately gained love and respect, now we have the responsibility to continue what was thought only his imagination and creativity. We express our deepest condolences to his family and friends,” said Massimo Ferretti, CEO of Aeffe SpA.
It will be remembered that Davide Renne was born in the municipality of Follonica, Tuscany, in July 1977. He studied at the University of Florence and the Polimoda fashion school.
Previously, she headed the women’s direction at Gucci. He spent almost 20 years at the Italian brand, where he worked with Frida Giannini and Alessandro Michele.
