The star shared the story of a drug overdose she suffered at the age of 16 weeks before signing her first record deal.
American singer Pink has admitted that she almost died of a drug overdose when she was a teenager. He spoke about it in an interview with Pink: The 60 Minutes Interview.
The performer shared that he grew up in a dysfunctional family and there was a moment in his life when he started getting involved in drugs, which is why he was kicked out of the house and kicked out of school.
“I’m a punk. Basically, I grew up in a house where every day my parents were yelling at each other, throwing things. They hated each other. And then I got into drugs. I was selling drugs. the house,” – recalls the Grammy winner.
The throwback incident occurred in November 1995, a few weeks before signing his first record deal. On Thanksgiving Day, he was on a rave and overdosed. Pink took “ecstasy, angel dust, crystals, all kinds of things.”
The star begins to return to normal life after almost dying. He was even invited to perform at a hip-hop party, but in exchange for a promise: he would never wander into drugs again.
Soon after, she was offered a contract with LaFace Records as part of the short-lived R&B girl group Choice, after which she began her solo career in 2000.
It was previously reported that a deceased person’s ashes were thrown at singer Pink at the British Summer Time Hyde Park music festival.
