During the chat, Antonio commented on what the deconstruction process was like when he found out in the news.
“My generation was raised under this sexist, patriarchal, reactionary structure, where the person does not exist. There are values that are inflicted on you since you were a child and you carry them for the rest of your life without even knowing why. And no one deserves to live like that,” he spoke.
“I think we have to go through this, we have to understand this and put an end to it. End it once and for all. End misogyny, homophobia, patriarchy, machismo, sexism, racism”, completed Bruno
“All these structures that have been set up, that don’t depend on us, but that we are carrying ahead and we have to break with that”, he said, and also commented on what it was like revealing his sexual orientation to his parents.
“There are two allies. And when you have your family as an ally, you really have no barriers. It was a process that we built together. It didn’t happen overnight because it is a structure that is behind our backs, a generational structure”, he spoke.
“Even more so, we (Bruno and his father), who have a generation difference between us. And we understand that love is the way out”, continued.
