In an exclusive to Máxima, he spoke about his portfolio, featuring names such as Maite Perroni, Gaby Spanic, Zac Efron and Vera Fisher
The dedication is continuous. Studies, too. This explains the creative director’s powerful resume Ale Monteiro, favorite of celebrities. In his career, which, at the age of 16, he was already photographing, he has worked with personalities such as Maite Perroni, Christian Chavez, Gaby Spanic, Zac Efron, Kat Graham, lindsay lohan, Thomaz McDonnell, Vera Fischer, Denise Fraga, Danielle Winits and some others.
Exclusively to Maximumhe revealed how he overcame prejudice for being gay and became a celebrity favorite.
“I have been photographing since I was 16, so directing, photography and this inclination towards art has always been very natural. I consider it very important because a creative director is responsible for ensuring that the message of the photo, person or advertising is translated and understood. I’ve always had this facility and, in 2012, I started working in magazines, editorials and campaigns, but this has always been with me because it’s genuine”, he said.
Such experience explains the versatility of his work. However, he recalls that he experienced situations of prejudice in the field, but today he has an extremely capable team at his side, free from stereotypes.
“To put together a rehearsal where the client feels comfortable, there is a structure and a team that I usually call an orchestra. These people need to be open to dealing with any type of individual, as nothing I do involves limitations on my art. I always like to choose everything to reveal the best version of the person and I count on everyone to do that. Of course, each client has their own proposal, but I try to translate their message with great care and delicacy, whether through makeup, costumes, hair, or lighting, scenery and props. Everything complements this and I always try to be very immersed and attentive to everything. So far, the result has been fantastic, but I am aware that I had to deal with unpleasant situations regarding my sexuality and deviating from the standards for it to work today”, guaranteed.
Despite the years of his career, Ale made a point of saying that he never stops studying and improving himself. According to him, this guarantees that his work has originality.
“I always like to study to understand what is happening in the collective unconscious and, in this way, direct the image of what I am working on so that the public understands and assimilates it. My best work is always the next one, so I dedicate myself to the extreme. I usually say that in art there is never a routine… I like to get inspired, draw and paint to clear my mind for the next work. I take this precaution because it is very easy for us to become contaminated by previous energies or work. This is the reason why we see so many good professionals always repeating the same thing. Therefore, I always like to allow myself something new”, revealed.
And it has paid off, after all, in the last year, 2022, his revenue was four million. For 2023, the expectation is more than double: eight and a half million, as the agenda has already started the year 89% full. He attributes the reason for his success to the sensitive and innovative way in which he decided to work.
“My mission is not just to bring beauty, but to try to transform the way people see themselves. I see that, in the studio, they are also transformed internally, getting to know a better version of themselves. The best thing is that they get emotional and leave touched and happy. I see a lot of importance in this.”concluded.
