The actor revealed that he suffered attacks from the community after admitting his sexual orientation
Gabriel Santana commented on the repercussions on social media after assuming his sexual orientation during the BBB23. The actor said that he received attacks not only from heteronormative people, but also from the LGBTQIAPN+ community.
“After the BBB, I received a lot of attacks on the internet from both the LGBTQIAPN+ community and heteronormative people. It’s even a little confusing. Heteronormative people said that, in fact, I’m a gay man who pretends to be bisexual. Which doesn’t make any difference. sense!”, he said.
“If I’m coming out with my orientation, there’s no reason to fear that I’m one thing or another… And the LGBTQIAPN+ crowd started saying that I was straight and was surfing the hype of bisexuality to grow into it. What a hype it is to be of a minority that is attacked, suffers prejudice and can lose jobs and contracts? Why would I pretend something like that?”, he spoke.
Despite the harsh comments from internet users, Gabriel stated that things were different at work: “As a professional, I never felt this prejudice. Another thing was that after people found out about my bisexuality, the number of direct messages (private messages on Instagram) increased and even the audience on my social networks has changed a lot.”
Even though his orientation was officially disclosed in the reality show, the actor said that he never hid his desires: “Before, people didn’t even care who I kissed. They didn’t know I was bisexual just for fun. I always had boys and girls at events.”
“But after I left BBB, the focus became: ‘Who is Gabriel Santana going to kiss today’. So nowadays I avoid being at public events to preserve my personal life a little. I’m really a kisser at events”, he added.
