World famous singer Madonna has postponed her world tour after being admitted to the intensive care unit with a serious bacterial infection. This was said by the artist’s manager Guy Osiri in a commentary on the BBC.
According to him, the star fell ill on June 24, was found unconscious and was immediately hospitalized, now under the supervision of doctors.
“On Saturday, June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection, for which she spent several days in the intensive care unit. Her condition is improving, but she is still under the supervision of doctors. We are currently forced to suspend the all the activities Madonna is participating in, including the tour,” he added.
At the same time, the manager promised to keep fans updated and mention new dates for the postponed tour and rescheduled concerts.
“We will share more details with you as soon as they are available, including a new tour start date and rescheduled shows,” Guy Osiri assured fans.
Plans for a world tour, the singer announced at the beginning of the year. He decided to dedicate his concerts to the 40th anniversary of the release of his breakthrough single Holiday. Madonna plans to start the tour in Vancouver, Canada.
