Carol Borbathe biggest physical trainer in Brazil and an influencer in functional training, is experiencing motherhood for the first time after the birth of her daughter, Dianathe result of his relationship with Rafael Domingues.
With a follower base of more than 2 million on her Instagram profile, she has become a source of inspiration for many women who are looking for a healthy and balanced routine.
After motherhood, Carol faced challenges in resuming her exercise routine. The risky pregnancy brought changes in her body and the need to stay still for a certain period of time. As a trainer with great physical conditioning, during this return she had the opportunity to feel the difficulties that her students face during training. This personal experience allowed him to adjust his training to better serve his audience.
“It was difficult, but on the one hand it was very good, because I could feel firsthand what my students feel when they do my training. , it was very good because today I can look at the training sessions and better dose the exercises, better understand each phase that each woman may be going through. For me, as a professional, it was very important and as a person it was a challenge too. But every challenge is good so that we can evolve”, said.
According to the trainer, one of the main adaptations she had to make in her training routine after becoming a mother was related to time. Before, she was able to perform several workouts in a single day, involving yoga, bodybuilding and functional training at home, each with a specific purpose. However, she now needs to organize herself better, even though she has a support network at home. On the other hand, she expresses empathy for women who lack this support, acknowledging that this same challenge is faced by many mothers.
“Time is scarce and when there’s a little left over, most mothers, including myself, feel guilty for leaving the baby, who is still very dependent and asks for a lot of laps. It gives a little pain in the heart. That’s why training at home are a way of venting about it. The mother has this need to do something for her, even if sometimes she doesn’t feel it 100%, but, deep down, she knows the difference when she does an exercise, when take care. It’s so delicious! I believe that exercising at home is the best way for us to resume a routine with a little care”, Carol said.
For the influencer, it is important that mothers find this balance to be able to reconcile this important phase of motherhood, while maintaining personal care, both physical and mental.
