According to him, some people react aggressively to LGBT people. He also said that he doesn’t have enough rights to live the life he wants.
The famous Ukrainian designer Konstantin Omelya came out. He wrote about it on Instagram on the OMELIA brand page.
In particular, the couturier presented a special collection to support LGBTQ+ and said why he decided to do it.
“My name is Konstantin Omelya and I am gay. This may be my first public coming out. I want to say that all my life I have felt like an outcast of society based on being involved in the LGBTQ+ community. I don’t have enough rights “to I want to live. Changes in the law and more information about who is LGBTQ+ are needed, because ignorance breeds aggression in society,” he wrote.
He also added that a full-scale war not only causes pain, suffering and destruction, but also accelerates social processes. For example, LGBTQ+ representatives, on an equal footing with others, stood up for the defense of the Motherland, but they do not have the same rights as other citizens.
“The future is coming now, and changes are needed now. We will take so many steps towards each other that we can reach and embrace. In the new Ukraine there must be no place for hatred and separation of people depending in their sexual orientation,” added Omelya.
As for the clothing, the designer has released a shirt with a large carved heart on the back and decoration in the form of small roses. As he mentioned, the items from the new drop are suitable for all genders. He does not divide people on this basis.
Actor Noah Schnapp, who rose to fame with his role as Will Byers in the horror series Stranger Things, was previously rumored to be appearing.
