The star’s brother, along with other civilians, went to rallies against the Russian invaders, where they hid them in basements and tortured them.
Quest Pistols soloist Anton Savlepov said his brother Sergei Stroev was caught. The artist spoke about this in a video message posted by user Efirchiktv on TikTok.
According to him, at the beginning of a large-scale war in the Kharkiv region, where he comes from, the invaders kidnapped local residents who came out to protest.
“I come from the Kharkiv region. At the start of a full-scale Russian invasion, my small homeland was quickly and permanently occupied. Ukrainians regularly go to resistance rallies. And this is precisely for in their strong civic position the occupiers persecuted them, kidnapped them, hid them in basements and tortured them. Some returned morally and physically crippled, and others are still unknown,” he said.
Anton Savlepov also added that for more than a year he did not know where his relative was and in what conditions he was being held, like most citizens of Ukraine.
“I personally know how difficult it is to find any information about captured civilians. They are hardly exchanged, they rarely make it to the lists, and according to the documents they are not prisoners. Our relatives are simply children, citizens and patriots. disappeared. Balakleya, Kupyansk “, Tsirkuny, many other towns and villages of the Kharkiv region suffered greatly from the aggressive, disgusting and completely inhumane behavior of the invaders. This sad tragic story touched my family, for more than a year we did not hear anything about Sergey. Yes, my brother is a civilian prisoner, just like many of our compatriots who just want to live in Ukraine under the Ukrainian flag,” the singer summed up.
