Since February 24, 2022, the performer who opposes the war in Ukraine says that he loves his country, but does not support its government.
Russian singer Zemfira denied the information that she received French citizenship. He wrote this on his Instagram page.
In particular, the artist called the information about obtaining citizenship “propaganda obscurantism.” At the same time, he added that despite the fact that he has not lived in Russia for more than a year, he continues to pay taxes.
“I am a citizen of the Russian Federation, and I do not have and will not have any other citizenship. I am asking the Ministry of Justice in court to prove foreign funding for me, which I have never experienced in my entire life. Paying I pay taxes in the Russian Federation, even though I don’t live there anymore. I love my country, but I hate the state,” he wrote.
Earlier it was reported that Zemfira, who condemned the war of the Russian Federation in Ukraine and for this on February 10 was recognized as a “foreign agent” in her own country, released a new anti-war song.
