Negammer said Austria’s storage facilities are 75% full. Negotiations are also being conducted with those who have new gas quantities.
Austrian Federal Chancellor Karl Negammer said that Austria is preparing for a possible stoppage of Russian gas supplies in case its transit through Ukraine is stopped. He said this in Chisinau, where the summit of the European Political Community is taking place, reports Interfax-Ukraine.
“We continue to prepare for serious challenges. Therefore, our storage facilities are 75% full. And we are also negotiating with those who have new quantities of gas. If Russian gas is completely exhausted, OMV is already working on it,” says Karl Negammer.
Recall that Moldova has completely abandoned Russian gas.
As reported, the price drop continues in the European gas market.
