A famous rapper made unauthorized changes to a rental property in Los Angeles, USA.
American rapper Kanye West is once again at the center of a scandal. He and his Yeez clothing line were sued by The Gap. The New York Post writes about it.
The plaintiffs allege that the rapper made unauthorized alterations to a rental property in Los Angeles.
“Changes include the installation of an outdoor ramp in the east side parking lot, the construction of a tunnel to the site, the removal of ceiling fixtures, the construction of a wall, and the removal of three bathrooms,” said the statement.
West announced a collaboration with Yeezy Gap in 2020. The lawsuit against West states that “the aforementioned changes were completed, but not repaired or restored, which [Уэст] made without Gap’s involvement or approval, [Уэст] breached a strategic agreement and directly and indirectly caused Gap to incur repair and restoration costs.”
Now Gap is demanding that West be held responsible for any damage to Art City’s property and is seeking $2 million in damages for himself.
Remember that Kanye West lost more than a billion dollars in one day.
