The Ukrainian side really works to plan such a visit, but once Türkiye has not confirmed the goal.
The Ukraine ambassador to Turkey Nariman Jell has refused information about Tayyip Erdogan’s visit, allegedly planned at the visit of the Turkish President Recep in Turkey. He reported it in a commentary Public.
So, to this day, the Ukrainian side has been working on the arrangement of such a visit, but there is no confirmation of travel.
Earlier, the Turkiye Gazetesi published that Erdogan said “in the coming days” should come to Kyiv at the invitation of President Vladimir Zelensky. It is also noted that the visit will have the important importance of diplomatic, in particular, on the issue of bilateral free trade and peaceful initiatives in the Russian-Ukrainian War framework.
The publication quoted Jeel, saying that “that President Erdogan is about to visit KYIV, and one of the most important issues in negotiations is to approve the free trade agreement.”
Remember that last year, Türkiye approved the FTS agreement with Ukraine. The agreement provides for the removal of import duties for about 93.4% of industrial goods and 7.6% of agricultural goods.
