The composition was supposed to be a support for people helping the country in difficult times, but became the object of criticism.
Ukrainian rapper and producer Oleksiy Potapenko (Potap) for the first time commented on the scandal that erupted in his composition Volunteer. This was reported by bigmir.net.
The artist said that he was inspired to create the song when he visited the Dobrobat battalion in Irpin.
“We stood with the volunteers of this battalion in the courtyard of a bombed house, I shook hands with them, sang for them, looked into their eyes. I realized that there are many songs about the courage and unity of Ukrainians, but specifically focused on volunteers, apparently not . And I realized that I wanted to write it,” he said.
However, netizens criticized the artist for the primitive nature of the text and expressed the opinion that the track devalued the activities of the volunteers.
Thus, Potap noted that his style of communication and songwriting has always been sharp and resonant. However, he is always ready to apologize if he has offended someone and the composition is no exception.
“And really – in this song, I didn’t mean to offend anyone, so please don’t hold a grudge against me. If I hurt someone’s feelings, I didn’t mean to. You might like the song, you might not . This is a person’s choice, and I always respect him. But now the main thing is definitely not comments or swearing under my tracks, but what we do for the country, “summed up the musician.
Earlier it was reported that Nastya Kamensky commented on her relationship with her husband, producer Alexei Potapenko.
Potap wrote a poem about Putin
