Plants are very important for renewing the air and also give an extra charm to any room.environment. In architectural and interior projects, in particular, their use can offer many other benefits, such as blocking solar radiation, thermal comfort and a sense of well-being.

How to use plants in environments

In biophilic design, plants gain a lot of prominence, since they are able to generate, more quickly, a connection with the environment. Gloria Brandão recommends using them on green panels (living walls) or on the roof.

Interior designer Larissa Santo recommends using hanging species, such as boa constrictors, peperomia and pearl necklaces, under a cupboard or shelf. On the balcony, according to her, it is a very interesting place to insert plants. “In large urban centers, the balcony ends up being the backyard. It is where we are closest to being outdoors,” she adds.

Precautions when inserting into the decoration

Some care is essential when inserting plants into environments, so that they can grow correctly. Therefore, to find out which types are most suitable, it is recommended to carry out a feasibility study, insolation and ventilation.
