Identify the cause of pain

Muscular stress causes regular pain, especially after physical activities, exhaustion, spasms and, in more advanced cases, it can evolve into a series of injuries. The most affected musculatures are the paraspinal (back), due to poor posture, and the abdominals (front), in addition to the legs, which are requested at all times.

The physical trainer warns that, when experiencing these pains regularly, the ideal is to stop training and look for a specialist doctor, who will be able to identify the possible causes and indicate the appropriate treatment. “The important thing is not to exceed your limit of daily workouts to eliminate the risk of injury. Exaggerations are never good and, instead of making you reach your goal faster, they can keep you away from activities. The ideal formula is balance”, warns Renan Braga.

Treatment for muscle stress

According to Renan Braga, the treatment varies according to the degree of muscular stress that the muscle is in. In mild cases, it can be done at home, putting ice 3 times a day for 15 to 20 minutes. In other situations, it is necessary to stop physical activity and ingest medicines analgesics to reduce pain.

“Our body works like a machine, which needs maintenance and care to work properly. Always follow the guidance of professionals so as not to overdo it and cause unpleasant pain in everyday life. The rhythm of the exercises must be increased each day, so that the body responds correctly to such activity”, he concludes.

How to prevent this problem

  • Improve muscle function by improving your strength and flexibility through regular physical exercises suited to your biotype and lifestyle, always accompanied by professionals;
  • Eat well, especially foods that contain calcium, and hydrate;
  • Choose appropriate shoes for sports;
  • Be aware of the symptoms that your body shows, such as edema, pain and focal hypersensitivity;
  • Do not overload the muscle and gradually increase the frequency and difficulty of training.
