The celebrity began acting in films since 2004, but short films and episodic roles did not bring much success.
American model and actress Emily Ratajkowski has admitted that she left her acting career because of the inappropriate behavior of men in the industry. He spoke about it in an interview with the Los Angeles Times.
According to him, when he entered the world of Hollywood, he immediately saw how they looked at him.
“I was like a piece of meat, which they talked about with condemnation: “Is there anything else here but breasts? Maybe that’s why I’m not particularly interested in men’s views today. They are lying. Not in the sense of treason, but it is a corrupt world. Hollywood is broken. It’s a dark place,” he said.
The actress previously said that to succeed in the industry, you have to “be comfortable with the powerful men in Hollywood.” At some point, Emily Ratajkowski got tired of it, fired her team, including the agent, sales representative and manager.
“I didn’t trust them. I can handle incoming calls and making decisions. None of you care about my interests. And you all hate women,” the star added.
Also in his book My Body, the celebrity recalled how he was at a party with his ex-husband. He said he was in a room with men who encouraged their young clients to meet him in hotel rooms.
“I don’t want my wife involved with these men,” Ratajkowski added.
Perhaps the power dynamics are not so different in the modeling industry, where the CEOs of major fashion brands are also predominantly men. But on set, he said, he usually interacts with women, so he feels more secure.
It was previously reported that Emily Ratajkowski, who kissed British musician Harry Styles, commented on the romantic case for the first time.
