Goodman celebrated his 100th birthday in March, saying it was “just a number.” He stressed that he felt “perfect”.

At the age of 17, the American opened a dance school, where he taught ballet and ballroom dancing. But he closed the school when he got married.

Interestingly, Goodman was suffering from a heart condition. He has had two open heart surgeries and currently lives with a pacemaker and a stent.

“My legs still work. I’m an optimist. I try to think positively all the time. It’s very important. I have a bracelet that says “positive”. I wear it every day and trying to keep a positive attitude,” said the American.
Goodman has four children, 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Her husband Alfred was a pilot during World War II. He died in 1995.
