“As I was getting the kids ready for bed and after they had bathed, smoke started to seep from between the tubs. When I looked down the hall, a cloud of thick black smoke had formed and filled the house. One thing about the fire: they were fast. I had about two minutes to get our three kids out of the house and we left the house in nothing but shoes but we made it out and for that I am eternally grateful,” she wrote.
Fortunately, they escaped, but the star’s pets died. The family still cannot accept this loss.
Caterina Scorsone also thanked all the caring people who helped her.
“This post is not about a fire. This is a love letter to incredible people who have helped incredibly. We learned that the only thing that matters is the people you love,” she concluded.
