All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the International Rescue Committee to help Ukrainian families.

Sotheby’s auction house held an auction of contemporary art in London to raise funds for war victims in Ukraine. Pambansa writes about it.

There are 28 lots put up for auction. 15 works were created by Ukrainian artists. Among the authors who submitted their works for auction were: Nazar Bilyk, Maria Bilyan, Oksana Mas, Rachel Neebone, Zadok Ben-David and the venerable British sculptor, Turner Prize winner Richard Deacon.

“It is impossible not to be affected by events in Ukraine. And thanks to generous donations from artists and gallery owners, this sale will directly help those forced to leave as a result of the crisis in Ukraine,” said the managing Sotheby’s director Sebastian Fahey.

Remember the previous Ukroboronprom with Prozorro. The sale was announced by a charity auction for the sale of a personalized pen by US President Joe Biden. The money will go to help Ukraine.
