Ukraine’s representative in the prestigious international competition, Miss Universe Victoria Apanasenko, who recently got married, told why she is afraid to reveal the identity of her husband.
According to her, after participating in a beauty contest, she had to face a wave of criticism from Russia, especially for the national costume. So, he wants to protect his personal life and family from hatred.
Victoria Apanasenko also recalled how the Russian representative at Miss Universe started a scandal when a native of Chernigov refused to take a photo next to her.
“She (Anna Linnikova – ed.) later said through the supervisors that she had a nervous breakdown, that I and Miss Switzerland do not communicate with her … Pseudo-journalists still write of Russia that Ukraine is “ashamed” of the national costume, and there is a lot of hatred for my appearance… This is one of the reasons. I think that over time, of course, I will tell who it is. But for now, I don’t want to let this anger go to my family,” he said.
It was previously reported that Victoria Apanasenko won the national costume contest in the Miss Universe 2022 beauty pageant.
