Defining the best assets
You wires have specific characteristics, so an analysis is important. Observe if they are dry, lackluster, embarrassed and, from there, search for products to satisfy these needs. “Avoid formulas with detergents, silicones and perfumes, which initially may seem harmless, but, in the long term, create a film that prevents the penetration of the assets, causing damage to the capillaries”, explains Roseli Siqueira, cosmetologist and businesswoman, who has more 40 years of experience in the development of natural products and treatments.
For the expert, there are more natural and beneficial alternatives for hair health. “Look at the label of products with acacia gum, responsible for aligning the cuticle, considered an alternative to silicone, and a natural thickener; brown algae, sources of amino acids and with antioxidant action help to retain water in the threads, enhancing hydration; and the red seaweed extract, which has a protection factor, as if it were shielding”, she comments.
100% natural oil: yes or no?
The use of 100% natural oil on the hair has several benefits: it forms a protective film, minimizes frizz, replenishes nutrients and the hair gains softness, hydration, nutrition and extra shine. At the root, it can help minimize dandruff, stimulate growth and detoxify. Just apply to the scalp.
“Place the tips of the thumbs on the temples and spread the fingers wide, making displacement movements, up and down, on the scalp. The nerve endings in this region end up compromising the root of the hair bulb. When we relieve ourselves with these gestures, we get good results”, says Roseli Siqueira. The massage can be done for 5 minutes, on the sides, on the back of the neck and on the top of the head. Allow a 10 minute break and rinse. Repeat the procedure every week.
moisturizing the length of the hair
For moisturize length and ends, apply the oil from the top – without touching the roots – to the base. Put on a cap or a warm towel and let it act for 10 minutes. Then rinse. You can still use the oil to finish, just apply a few drops to your hands – don’t overdo it -, rub well and apply to the ends. “It is worth investing in pumpkin seed oil, sunflower oil, coconut oil and even baobab oil. The latter has a high power of nutrition and restoration”, confirms the specialist.
Attention to water temperature
A quick hot shower will help you relax, but the temperature of the water on your scalp can encourage oiliness and flakiness. In the wires, it opens the cuticles and removes all natural hydration, leaving them completely fragile, without shine, elasticity and trim. The ideal is use warm wateras it facilitates emollience and helps with cleaning, but without causing damage.
Boost hydration with a warm towel
Conventional hydration offers many benefits to the health of the threads, but there is a way to enhance its effect: just use a warm towel. The promoted heat opens the cuticles, facilitates the penetration and action of the actives, making treatments more effective. To use, wet towel with warm water. Twist well. Wrap the head with the fabric and give the product some time to rest. Rinse the wires afterwards.
Scalp face mask
Although it’s not a topic that’s talked about all that often, scalp health starts in the hair bulbs. Therefore, any problem in this region will influence everything else. Beyond the traditional caresuch as hygiene, it is very interesting to invest in more specific protocols.
“At least once a week, apply a face mask to your scalp. You can invest in those based on flowers, fruits and clays, which promote deep cleaning, performing a true detox while replenishing nutrients. Another option is those based on pumpkin, which contain carotene and help with nutrition, protection and restoration. Generally, the break time is between 15 to 20 minutes. It needs to be removed with plenty of water”, teaches Roseli Siqueira.
