Hangover skin? Roseli Siqueira teaches how to deal with post-Carnival effects

5 expert tips to remove impurities from your face and replenish lost moisture

Carnival is over, but do you feel that your skin has a “hangover”? If the answer is yes, then you are in the right place. It is common that after consuming alcoholic beverages, excessive use of makeup and even fatty foods, the skin is very sensitized, drier or more oily, with acne and, in some cases, irritated. Despite being an unpleasant situation, it can be reversed by investing in some treatments and changing habits. Check out the tips below.

Wash your face well before going to bed

It is essential for maintaining skin health, even more so when it comes to hot days, as tallow production increases and waste accumulation is greater. Therefore, wash your face well with a liquid soap, neutral formula and rinse with cold or lukewarm water. The ideal is to use the soap only at night, before going to bed, but if you have very oily skin, you may need to use it in the morning as well.

Bet on a cleansing lotion

Even if you wash your face well, some impurities and makeup residues can persist, so it is very important to use a facial cleansing tonic, with a detergent and alcohol-free formula, which promote deep cleaning, but without unbalancing the skin’s PH.

hydrate yourself

After cleaning, it is essential to replenish the skin’s hydration, so that it continues to be vibrant, shiny and elastic. So take care of the moisturizer, it can be cream or even a 100% natural coconut oil, pumpkin seeds and/or sunflower.

Take a few minutes to make a mask that, in addition to moisturizing, strengthening and detoxifying your skin, will help you relax your body and mind. Look for assets like lotus and passion fruit flower, arnica montana, aloe vera, chamomile and calendula. Start the process by sanitizing the skin and then apply the mask all over the face. Let it act for 15 minutes and then rinse well with cold water.

drink more fluids

One of the main effects of alcohol consumption is dehydration of the body, because to metabolize a molecule of alcohol, our organism needs to give up nine molecules of water, so if you exaggerate, your skin may feel lifeless. To replenish body water and help detoxify. Bet on water, teas (without sugar) and 100% natural juices.
