He decided to go to Ukraine after seeing shocking footage of animals affected by the Russian invasion. The doctor admitted that this trip was traumatic.
British veterinarian Scott Miller, a frequent guest on This Morning, visited Ukraine during the Russian war. He narrated what he saw in our country. The Daily Mail writes about ethos.
“Everyone said I was completely crazy if I wanted to go to Ukraine because it was an active war zone, but I felt that I had to do it. I have loved animals all my life. Animals helped me when I was young. I struggled with social problems. They don’t judge and are always ready to give unconditional love. Animals feel everything. They have emotions, they have feelings, they feel fear. And they are involved in this war, and they are also suffering together with the Ukrainian people,” he said. Miller.
In January, he first flew to Romania, then landed in Vinnitsa. The doctor helped perform operations on crippled animals.
Later, with the charity Breaking The Chains, he brought sick dogs to the UK.
Miller visited Kherson. There, he delivered food and medicine for animals to a woman who was taking care of 200 dogs.
“This woman alone takes care of 200 dogs. We brought her dog food, but some of them need to be spayed and vaccinated. I was helped by ex-British soldiers who work for a charity . They adapted well to the situation, and with their help I performed a successful castration operation on ten dogs,” added the veterinarian.
He also emphasized that the love and care of Ukrainians for animals is inspiring.
