Trans woman, Milena was kicked out of the women’s bathroom during the technical rehearsal for Carnival.
She was even surrendered by court security guards and removed from the establishment against her will.

On social networks, a video of the prejudiced moment circulated and shows the moment when Milena is a victim of prejudice and expelled by the security guard.
“My friend being removed from Viradouro for not being able to use the bathroom. A woman suffering from transphobia. A trans woman with resigned surgery is prohibited from using the women’s bathroom at Unidos do Viradouro in the technical rehearsal. Suffering prejudice and being rudely thrown out by security guards . Where are the rights of our LGBTQIA+ people?”, he spoke Eduardo MelloMilena’s friend.
Marcelinho Calil, president of Unidos do Viradouro, spoke about the case and said that attitudes are unjustifiable. He also completed saying that he repudiates any discriminatory attitude and that the school court is a place of diversity and respect.
CHECK OUT THE OFFICIAL NOTE FROM VIRADOURO:

We are seeking contact with the attendee so that we can invite her to a face-to-face conversation.
Attitudes like these are unjustifiable and we guarantee that all measures will be taken.
We emphasize that Unidos do Viradouro repudiates any discriminatory attitude and that our court is a place of diversity and respect. Never discrimination.”
