Senator Kevin Kramer (RN.D.) announced Wednesday that he may need to amputate a finger after a serious injury while working in the yard last weekend.
The senator told Fargo Radio Station KFGO that he worked in his backyard in Bismarck last year A large rock moved in his right hand.
The injury was severe enough to require immediate surgery.
“I will continue to stay in North Dakota, close to medical care, because there is a high risk of infection and the need for amputation.” – said Kramer in a statement. “I’m alert and in a good mood”.
