Twitter users are criticizing Elon Musk for publicly revealing his stance during the 2022 FIFA World Cup final match between Argentina and France at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar on Sunday.
The Twitter CEO was spotted days after temporarily suspending the accounts of several reporters from major news outlets, including CNN, The Washington Post and The New York Times.
According to Musk, the reporters were “doxxing” him and violating one of the company’s new rules on disclosing people’s location.
He said reporters exposed his real-time location when they reported on Twitter’s suspension of the @ElonJet Twitter account, which shared publicly available data about the private jet’s whereabouts.
After that, Elon began lifting suspensions of journalists from Twitter conducting a survey asking if they should “Unsuspend accounts that affected my exact real-time location.”
While attending the match with Donald Trump’s son-in-law and former US presidential adviser, Jared Kushner, on Sunday morning, Elon tweeted, “At the World Cup right now.” From the stands, the Twitter owner shared a video clip of the moment before kick-off, giving his followers a taste of the grand fireworks display.

It didn’t take long for several Twitter users to mock Musk’s post, ridiculing him for “self-destruction.”
“You are suspended for doxxing your live location, this post is a security threat to you, a user He commented.
Other he wrote“Suspend your account for doxxing, no special treatment.
“You’re not afraid of killers,” one user joke.
Other users chimed in to defend the entrepreneur’s decision to share his location.
“To those showing how to doxx Elon… You can’t doxx yourself. Sharing your location is a free choice. Sharing with someone is doxxing,” one person He commented.
On Tuesday, Musk came under fire again on Twitter after Tesla announced a “holiday update” for its electric cars, which includes integration with the Steam marketplace.
The update allows Tesla drivers to now play Steam games from the comfort of their cars, which caused worldwide alarm. Chirp about the terrible idea of allowing drivers to play video games while driving.
