New Texts Announced in Jan. 6 Discussions Between Meadows And Trump Backers –

CNN won Thousands of text messages were exchanged between Mark Meadows and high-profile Donald Trump supporters, showing unedited conversations about the January 6, 2021 attack on United States Capitol and other attempts to oust Joe Biden.

Meadows, who served as White House chief of staff under Trump, gave a textbook to the Rebellion Investigative Committee in December, shortly before he stopped cooperating with the investigation.

The committee had previously released some of these messages to the public, but CNN reported Monday that it had received 2,319 messages from Meadows, which were sent and received seven weeks before the 2020 election and seven days before the grand opening of Biden. Meadows refused to provide another 1,000 text messages to the committee, the jury told the court.

The message cache includes conversations between Meadows and several members of Trump’s inner circle, including his adult children, activists, cabinet members, White House officials, more than 40 current and former Republicans in Congress, personalities and organizers of Fox News. . The event on Jan. 6 where Trump invited his supporters to hold a rally in front of the Capitol.

Some of the most well -known exchanges are Meadows and Rep. Between Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.). The Republican lawmaker currently faces a legal challenge that could disqualify him from running for re-election because of his alleged role in the Jan. 6 events.

In a text sent to Meadows on Dec. 31, 2020, Green sought help in organizing a Congressional fight over Biden’s victory.

Hello Mark, I’m here in Washington. “We need to prepare for 6,” he wrote. “I want to meet Rudy Julian again. We didn’t talk to him for long. As well as those who can help. We had a lot of companions on board. And we need to establish the best case for each state. “

During the attack, Green called Meadows to deny what was happening to Trump and wrote, “Mark, I was just told he was an active shooter on the first floor of the Capitol, please tell the president to calm people down, it’s not the solution. nothing. “

Several other Republican lawmakers have sent a similar request, despite a public reduction in Trump’s responsibility for the attack following his assassination.

Green sent a message to Meadows again that day stating that left -wing activists were acting like Trump voters.

“We don’t think these attackers are our people. We think they are antifa.” Dressed like Trump supporters, “he wrote.

Trump campaign spokesman Jason Miller appears to have pushed Meadows to keep the president’s notion that his supporters were not behind the uprising, according to texts obtained by CNN.

Miller wrote on January 6:

“Call me mad, but the ideas for the two POTUS tweets: 1) Rotten apples, perhaps ANTIFA or other mad leftists, have entered into peaceful protest (also) today for fraudulent vote counting . Violence is never acceptable! MAGA supporters support our police and the rule of law and they should leave the Capitol now! 2) The fake news media that sparked violent and radical unrest this summer is now trying to accuse peaceful and innocent MAGA supporters of violent activities. It’s not us! “Our people must go home and the criminals will suffer!”

In the days before Biden’s inauguration, Green invited Meadows to discuss Trump’s declaration on martial law, in which the military government would take control of the civilian government.

“In our private chats only with members, some are saying that the only way to save our republic is for Trump to require the Marshall Act,” he wrote. “I don’t know about these problems. I just want you to tell him. They stole this election. We know Vela. Then our country will be destroyed. Please tell him to keep it as secret as possible so you can follow Biden and anyone! “

Meadows also frequently texted Fox News host Sean Hannith, CNN reported. In a conversation, Hannit asked Meadows how he helped improve Trump’s election results.

“Will NC be okay?” Hannith wrote in reference to the North Carolina Swing. Meadows replied that Hanniton should remind viewers that “every vote matters”, to which Hannibal replied, “Yes sir”. Meadows added that the Trump campaign should vote in North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Arizona and Nevada.
