In an interview elsewhere, Megan explained why she lied to the police who first arrived at the scene and informed them that she injured her leg by hitting the broken glass after a party.
The comment was used as a way to discredit Megan’s story of people standing next to Lanez, who continue to deny all allegations.
“George Floyd’s incident just happened and the cops first shot him and then questioned,” he said. “They shot me and killed someone. “Something bad is going to happen.”
“So when I see people trying and using it against me to say I was lying … I lied to protect everyone,” he continued. “Sometimes, I wish I hadn’t told and just didn’t tell the truth.”
Lanes, Daystar Shemuel Shua Peterson, pleaded not guilty to assault and possession of gun cases in connection with the shooting in November 2021.
