It’s the makeup remover that “in danger!” host Ken Jennings has to wash his mouth: what is soap?
Jennings went viral this week for saying “oh shit!” when he accidentally revealed the answer to a clue in an exhibition match between former champions. (Watch the video below.)
Taking a break from the Tournament of Champions, the show featured semifinalists Amy Schneider, Matt Amodio and Mattea Roach in a friendly on Tuesday. Jennings was breaking down the “Number Please” category, which involved numbers tied to contestants’ (and guests’) consecutive wins on the show.
But someone off-camera yelled at him for giving an answer that has yet to be revealed.
“Oh shit!” Jennings said with a shrill cry as he threw his book down. The moment drew laughter as Amodio frantically pressed the doorbell.
When the category was actually completed, Jennings fully explained that the numbers were their winning streak. “74” — the all-time high — was “higher than any of them,” he noted.
Jennings isn’t the only anchor to go viral for swearing.
After Alex Trebek’s death in November 2020, the cheeky ads he did for a phone version of “Jeopardy!” he walked around.
