On Saturday, November 25, 19 “well-born” young women from all over the world will participate in the Debutante Ball, under the torch of the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris.
Each year, a handful of hand-picked young women make their official entrance into the world at Paris’s Sacred Novice Ball. Princesses, “daughters” or common people… Casting is particularly meticulous.

For this 2022 Debutante Ball vintage, 19 young ladies have been selected for this exclusive event that will take place on Saturday, November 25 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Paris. They include Princess Hélène of Orléans, second daughter of Prince Charles-Louis and Princess Ileana of Orléans, Duke and Duchess of Chartres. The young woman will arrive at the ball wearing her brother Prince Philip’s haute couture creation by Lebanese designer Georges Hobeika.
Another one Royal confirmed her arrival, Leah Isadora Benn, daughter of Princess Martha Louise of Norway. At 17 years old, she is one of the most important influencers in the kingdom and already has more than 180,000 followers on Instagram, if you add up her two accounts, private and professional. A model for the agency Team Models, she is one of five women featured in a new Norwegian documentary series entitled: Powerful women Norway and airs from October on Viaplay. For the ball she will be dressed by Giambattista Valli and escorted by Maharaja Lakshya Prakash de Sirmur.
Natasha Connery, the granddaughter of Sean Connery, the famous interpreter of James Bond in the 1960s, is also waiting for them. For the occasion, she will wear an Alexis Mabille dress and her rider will be her friend Harper Peck, himself the grandson of another holy movie monster, Gregory Peck. His sister, Ondine, will also attend the evening, dressed in an Elie Saab creation.

The ball will count on the presence of several Americans. This is the case of Eleanor Ford Uzzielli, a descendant of Henry Ford, who will be dressed by Oscar de la Renta (who made her grandmother Anne Ford’s wedding dress) and accompanied by Prince Alexander of Arenberg. Other confirmed “debuts” include Annabelle Zimmer, daughter of Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer, and Bristol Fales-Hill, one of Harvard’s top students. They will be joined by China’s Aileen Gu, an influential but above all freestyle skiing champion. He won two gold medals and one silver medal, both at the Beijing Winter Olympics alone.
Funds raised at the ball will be donated to Ukraine, as well as the Selene Institute, which supports women’s mental health, and the Enfants d’Asie association, which promotes the education of underprivileged young girls.
