At the last minute, James Austin Johnson’s Joe Biden tried to put some “sizzle” on the slate of Democratic midterm candidates in the “Saturday Night Live” cold open.

It attracted celebrity chef candidate Guy Fieri (Molly Kearney), the new US Senate candidate from Pennsylvania, who took the opportunity to poke fun at GOP rival Mehmet Oz for his displeasure with the rising cost of crudité.
