Among the new social events is the Academy Film Museum Gala. The Los Angeles museum event celebrated its second edition on Sunday, Oct. 16, with a “red” carpet (it was actually quite white) as full as the Oscars.

Jessica Chastain put on a style show in her long, floaty Oscar de la Renta gown, letting her daffodil and peony printed silk chiffon train float down the red carpet. A glamorous spirit also carried by the Clooney couple, including Amal, who opted for a mint green dress. Finally, actress Lily Collins played the card in a long floral coat paired with a black lace top for a look that’s both smart and full of fashion.
