Best known for his fine jewelry creations, the latest of which dates back to 2017, the legendary designer returns with a new collection inspired by his finest New York house elegance.

She is one of those women of character who helped forge the Tiffany myth. While the legacy of her colleague Elsa Peretti is too often in the spotlight, Paloma Picasso’s legacy should not disappear. For many, Paloma is first of all Graffiti necklaces (the first most recommended jewelry), its structured hearts or the more romantic olive leaves.

But to quote the most famous characters of her style, we have to go back to the early 1980s, only after entering the New York house a few times, when the daughter of Pablo Picasso and Françoise Gillot signed some of the most beautiful jewelry from Blue. Collection of books. Once upon a time, matching necklaces gave pride of place to sweet and vibrant colors, while rings were always a cocktail of more than generous volume. In addition, it is in front of one of his extraordinary 1985 pendants that many visitors to the Tiffany exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery in London stopped.

Here he is now back in front of his sketchbook, more than five years after his last creation for Tiffany, the Melody collection. There is no everyday jewelry here, as Paloma Picasso returns to her first love of couture and joyous jewelry and deals with a mesmerizing intersection of stones: morganites, aquamarines, but also tanzanite fragments and incendiary garnets. All have variable geometry because he’s always loved them.
