In a video clip, the singer, together with the department, thanked the country and the people who received the Ukrainians who fled the war for hospitality.
Ukrainian singer Jamala, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Banda Agency, presented a new song Thank you, stranger. The star dedicated it to all the people from other countries who received Ukrainians who were forced to leave their own country because of the Russian war.
“Strangers from neighboring countries took care of us like relatives. And some even sheltered us at home. In this video, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry and I thank our close who were neighbors for hospitality, who have now become a close family. Many thanks to the families who shared their personal moments. While we were cooking the video, the eyes were wet. We could not use all the stories , but everyone deserves it,” Jamala wrote.
Creative agency Banda Agency helped Jamala create a video for the musical composition. The footage shows the stories of Ukrainians adopted by families in Poland, Moldova, Romania, Slovakia and Hungary.
“It is very important to be able to say the word” thank you “. Our closest neighboring countries have opened their homes to millions of women and children in Ukraine as if they were their own, for which we never tire of thanking them. I am sure that this assistance will grow into a strong friendship and continue for generations,” commented Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba.
We remind you, Jamala previously received the award of the Atlantic Council of the United States.
