The film will tell about the Russian-Ukrainian war on behalf of ordinary people who spent the first month of the invasion of Mariupol.
The Association of Ukrainian Producers has completed work on the documentary film Mariupol. No hope. The trailer of the movie can be seen on Youtube.
The plot will be based on the history of ordinary residents of Mariupol who have been in the city since the beginning of the total war.
“Everything that is happening today – it should not have happened in the 21st century. I want people to understand the absurdity of the situation and feel that thousands are dying because of the anger, cruelty and hatred of the Russian invaders. This is important it seems to me that every crime of the racists is recorded, and they answer for everything,” said journalist Nadezhda Sukhorukova.
At the same time, the filmmakers mentioned that it will not contain scary shots, but only five citizens from Mariupol will talk about their life experiences during the war.
“We have no voice-over, staged shots, no narrative. This is a film-the truth of peaceful citizens inside the war. They simply and fearlessly say what they saw, what they felt about what was happening to them. Imagine, for a few weeks there was a systematic destruction of half a million cities. We deliberately did not put scary shots, even if we had them, because we did not want emotional pressure, “said the director of the film, Maxim Litvinov.
The premiere of the film is scheduled for the end of August.
