Find out what the fastest roller coaster in the history of Universal Studios parks will be like, which will take ‘Fast and Furious’ as a theme
Universal Studios Hollywood in California, United States, announced the construction of a new roller coaster that promises to be the fastest ever made in the park. With a theme inspired by the ‘Fast & Furious’ franchise, the attraction will be called ‘Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift’, and will feature the combination of “extreme speed and 360 degrees turns.”

With high rails that travel various sectors of the park, including the area between the upper and lower lots, the roller coaster will have a total route of 1,250 meters and will reach 116 km/h. The project includes acoustic insulation technology to reduce sound impact during operation.
The experience begins in a thematic structure that simulates a car garage, where visitors embark on vehicles inspired by the iconic cars of the movies. One of the models, based on Dodge Charger 1970 by Dominic Toretto, protagonist of the feature films, is already on display in the park.

The car will be on display from June 13 to August 10, 2025.
But when do you open?
The roller coaster ‘Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift’ is expected to be inaugurated in 2026, and is still in the construction phase. A video of preview of the attraction has already been released by Universal.
