See who will be responsible for driving the new live-action of the Monster High franchise, which has Mattel Studios production
Another line of toys will win live action: Monster High! For the coming movie to win, the director Gerard Johnstoneresponsible for the franchise starring a doll, M3gan, was chosen to command the new bet of Mattel Studios.

That’s exactly what we are building on Mattel Studios, while we continue to work with the best talents to tell new and unexpected stories of our rich brands portfolio,” said Robbie Brenner, Mattel Studios’s president in a press release. “Monster High is a favorite franchise of infinite narrative potential fans, and we are enthusiastic about reimaging it in a monstrously exciting way with Gerard in charge,” he concluded.

What do we know about live action?
The plot will bring a new version of Monster High’s universe, which emerged in 2010 featuring dolls inspired by famous mythological creatures such as Medusa, Frankenstein and Dracula. For this, it will be based on Mattel’s line of dolls to tell an original story starring these daughters of classic monsters of popular culture in the school universe.
It is worth remembering, however, that this is not Monster High’s first adaptation. With 15 TV specials and animation movies produced between 2010 and 2017, the franchise also has other feature films in live action: “Monster High: The Movie” (2022) and “Monster High: The movie 2 (2023).
The new version will bring Oscar -winning producer and screenwriter, Akiva Goldsmanas responsible for signing the story that has distributed Universal Pictures, as variety repercussions.
