Find out which drama had its history based on the albums of “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” by BTS
In recent years, South Korea’s cultural products have become increasingly popular internationally. From beauty care, to movies, series and music, today it is even more common to find South Korean items and works everywhere.
Often, some of these universes end up colliding, with great K-Pop idols starring k-dramas (also known in Brazil as doramas), or even the opposite, when doramas are inspired by the music industry to create their script-as is the case of 2024’s “Begins ≠ Youth, which was inspired by BTS.
Dorama inspired by BTS?
Directed by Kim Jae Hongthe story of “Begins ≠ Youth” is based on the fictional plot presented in the album trilogy “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” by BTS, through the music clips and teasers of the releases, which also inspired the webtoon “Save Me” (2019), a work that helped to inspire the creation of the protagonists.
With 12 episodes, available on the Xclusive platform, the drama follows the trajectory of seven teenage boys facing a number of problems in school and personal life, including losses, poverty and rejection, and must deal with the difficult phase of transition between adolescence and adult life.
The seven protagonists, despite being inspired by the members of BTS, are just a kind of alter ego of artists, and are not real representations of the singers. Even so, during the episodes, it is possible to notice some clear references to the characteristics of the members, who join the original traits of each character.
In the work, the characters inspired by boygroup are: Kim Hwan, lived by SEO JI Hoonbased on Jin; Kim Dogeon, inspired by leader RM, that is interpreted by SEO Young Joo; Min cein, made by Noh Jong Hyunwhich represents Suga; Jeong Hosu, character of J-hopelived by Ahn ji ho ho; Park Haru, inspired by Jimininterpreted by Kim Yoon Woo; Kim Jooan, lived by Jung woo jinbased on V; and Jeon Jae Ha, character inspired by Jungkook that counts on Jeon Jin SEO as an interpreter.
