How much did Bighit Music spent on TXT training?

Find out how much Baghit Music may have invested throughout the training period of the five members of Tomorrow x Together, the TXT

If you are a fan of K-Pop, you are already familiar with the trainee system, where, after signing a training contract with a company, aspiring stars can spend years training to become big music stars, receiving singing classes, dance, languages, acting, and everything that is needed to become an idol.

All of these teachings are paid by the agency itself, which also offers a dormitory to artists, where they should live with other trainees throughout the training period – even though housing often does not have the best quality, as happened with BTS where the seven members shared a tiny room, or Blackpink that had to live in an insect -filled apartment.

Most of the time, the amount invested by the company should be entirely returned when the person debuts, or ending their contract – this is why, in many cases, some idols spend years without receiving the profit from their launches, as money is all focused on paying the debt of the trainee time.

This reality, however, is different in the four largest companies of K-POP (YG Entertainment, SM Entertainment, JYP Entertainment and Bighit Music), as explained by the Koreaboo portal. In them, artists do not have to pay the amount spent by the company in their training period after their debut, and are paid for their work as soon as they start their promotions.

In a recent interview, Bang si hyukPresident of Baghit Music and founder of Hybe Labels, shared that, both in his company and other entertainment agencies, the approximate amount of investment for the training of a single idol per year is 120 million KRW (about $ 96,900).

According to the entrepreneur, the value takes into account all adequate lessons and training, as well as the hosting in the bedroom and the feeding of the artist. Si hyuk It also states that the price can get even higher if the company decides to invest in other experiences, such as a training period abroad.

With this revelation, many fans have started to account for an idea of how much agencies may have spent during the training period of some of their favorite artists, such as Tomorrow x Together, the TXT, which is also part of Bighit Music.

In the group, Yeonjun trained for four years, while the leader Soobin and Taehyun were trainees for three years, HUENING KAI For two and a half years, and Beomgyu For two years. Thus, as reported by Koreaboo, adding the years of training of the five members, it can be concluded that Bighit Music has invested about ₩ 1.74 billion KRW (about $ 1.22 million) throughout the TXT training.
